It's Chinese New Year! Yeah, it is a bit late for me to post now. Couldn't folk out anytime to post last week. This year Chinese New Year, don't have any feel or excitement about it. Maybe cos either I was inside camp or we have all grown up.

For this post, let me share with you guys some of the preparations my family have been doing every Chinese New Year. Basically, every year we cook the same food but just once in a year! We wouldn't get to eat any of the other day unless my grandma is in the mood to cook for us. So for every Chinese New Year, my grandma is the 'Chef' of the kitchen. She will always come to my house 1 or 2 days earlier before the reunion dinner to start preparing.

The first dish I wanted to share is our homemade Ngoh Hiang. My grandma loves to wrap the Ngoh Hiang with only a thin layer of meat (but I prefer having a thicker filling!). Whenever I help to wrap, she will definitely comments on my wrapping.

Next, homemade Yu Sheng! She started doing this homemade Yu Sheng was a few years back when her 1st attempt really failed. But now, it's getting more and more better! This, I would say is the few hardest dish to do. Have to shred the vegetables, soak it in cold water and have to squeeze it really dry. It may seems easy, but when you start shredding, your arms will strain!

Now, this is our family recipe that was passed down from our ancestor, Cuttlefish Vegetables. It is everyone favorites. This dish consist of 7 ingredients. According to what my grandma said, the 7 ingredients represents long live. So every year the day before Chinese New Year, everyone have to eat this and my grandma would always cook a very big portion. What you see in the picture below is only a few portions. Just one dinner, and everything is gone. This is the most tiring dish to do among all! We would always spent hours just cutting the vegetables. Till today, no ones know how to cook besides my grandma.

Footprints That Left Behind

It's Sunday! And I will be booking in tonight. The time seems to pass so slow when I was in camp this week. I did not really went out for this week's book out. Just wanna stay at home and rest. My guppies have a new home! I bought some water plants and did some changes to its tank.

Past few days ago, Boon sent me videos that he took when we were in Shatec. The happy moments has all became memories. I keep on laughing while replaying those videos. I had posted 2 videos to share with you.

One of our few basic lessons, our chef trying to show us how to make an over-easy egg. But unfortunately, the egg stick on to the pan and was unable to flip. Our chef finally managed to flip over the egg successfully. But when he flipped it back, the egg was smashed up.

Book Out lo!

Book out lo! Yesterday booked out at 1pm. Got home at 2.30pm, changed then went off to meet Ted. But unfortunately, he last minute could not make it. So I went down to Bugis meet up with Ain and Siti for dinner.

I bought myself a hat. A bit too pricey but I just love the design and material. Had lots of fun with both of them. We had our dinner at Pastamania. I ordered myself a Beef Bolognaise. I was suppose to meet them today again to Wild Wild Wet but I couldn't make it. I had make them disappointed but I'll try slot out time again to repay them back. =)

After that, took a train down to Yio Chu Kang to meet Boon for supper. He's craving for Nasi Briyani so we went to his house downstairs a 24hr Prata shop for supper. Had a chat and then he drive me home. Tonight will be meeting Darren for dinner. Had not met him for so long ever since we last went for gym session. Hope he's still doing great. =)

As every ending represents a new beginning, lets say goodbye to 2011 and welcome 2012!

There goes a year gone again and we will soon grow up and getting old. Looking back in the year of 2011, I have spent most of my time working for the whole year. Ever since I started my internship at the beginning of this year, till I graduated and went back to Ya Kun.

My life is like a no life. What I do everyday was work and work. Even though it was a tough year for me, but I still get to enjoy myself. I slot out time to go overseas, universal studio with friends, kbox with friends, prawning with friends, eating steamboat and many more.

I still remembered I posted my New Year resolution for the year of 2011 was "Save more money and quickly graduate then start working!" and I managed to fulfill my resolution. What about my resolution for 2012? I'm still thinking about it and will post in tomorrow. =)

A New Step Of Life

Finally I'm out after the two weeks confinement! It was a very new beginning for me. Serving the country is not that tough as what other people had said (maybe this is just the beginning). Two weeks inside passed really fast. Everyday you're packed with something on. Enjoy the trainings and you will enjoy being there. Rather than just wasting time inside there and keep counting the days to booking out.

To me, I felt like I am back to secondary school days. Just that everyday, you've to stay the rest of your days in school and do PE lessons. Tomorrow I'm booking in and there goes my 5-days of rest. Time flies so fast. I'm looking forward to the next 2 days of trainings. Hope there will be less running (I hate running)!

Finally! Tomorrow I'm enlisting for my National Service and will be out after 2 weeks. Hmm... That's fast. Today, I just shaved my hair! What's my feeling now? Relax and think positive. =)

Time flies! And finally, I've left Ya Kun. It's been 2 years there. It was my very first job in my life. Just one interview, and I got the job. Still remember at the age 16, I just finished my GCE 'N' levels and was looking for part-time job around Changi Airport. But now, time's up. I have to leave. No matter which day is it, one day I'll have to leave.

4D3N Trip to Tanjong Pinang with Friends

Day 1 - 16th November 2011

Woke up early in the morning at 6.30am. I had some light breakfast, took my backpack and left house at around 7am to Enous Warehouse Complex to collect 32kg of Baby Octopus that Devid's family ordered for their restaurant. Arrived at the warehouse, took the order from the supplier. But didn't know that it was in 2 big styrofoam containers. So Jane took cab to pick me up before heading to Tanah Merah Ferry terminal.

We arrived at the ferry terminal about 10am. Boon had already arrived. We missed the 9.20am ferry. So had to wait for the next ferry at 12.30pm. Had some bites and drinks at Killiney which waiting for the time to past. Finally, board the ferry 30mins before the departing time. After 1hour 45mins, we finally arrived at Tanjong Pinang.

Devid waited for us at the terminal. There were some problems for us to bring the Baby Octopus but after some bribery, they let us go! Devid drove us to change our money then headed to his restaurant. Had a sumptuous meal. Never had such a fresh seafood after a long time.

After our meal, we headed to a nearby supermarket 'Zoom'. We bought some titbits, cup noodles and some necessities. We took an hour ride, finally, reached Bintan Agro Resort. Book a room on the spot. For 2 nights, family room, it's only SGD 200! We had a rest in the resort before heading for our dinner. The skies turned dark after we left our room.

Went to the kelong restaurant but the food were expensive and we were still full after the meal we had at Devid's restaurant. So we went for a karaoke session. It's free! Just had to pay for the drinks. Sang till about 11pm, we went back to our room. Had some titbits and cup noodles for our supper. Ordered a plate of Salted Fish Fried Rice and Special Fried Noodle from the room service.

Day 2 - 17th November 2011

I woke up at 8am! Woke boon and the rest up. Had a hot cup of hot milo in our room and then head to play the water sports! With an empty stomach, we still had so much energy to play! We played banana boat, big marble and the flying fish. The most torturing game were both the flying fish and the big marble. We screamed till we had no voice. But it was fun!

After the water sports, we went to have our breakfast. We were late for our breakfast so most of the foods were empty. The foods there were not appetizing. I just had a bowl of cereals and a few bites of finger foods. After our breakfast, here starts our tour in Tanjong Pinang!

Our first stop, to a nearby beach, further down then Bintan Agro Resort. The sea was so nice but the weather was too hot. We got down from the car for only a few minutes and we starts to perspire. Took a few photos and hop back to the car.

Next stop, Christian Church. We climb up a hill of 14 stations of the cross and finally, we reached the Church. Along the way, there were many ants and mosquitoes around. We were stamping our foot as we walk.

The 3rd stop, to a beach again. But this beach was so beautiful. The weather was so windy with strong waves. The beach sands were so soft and fine. There were crab holes all around the sands. As usual, we took so many photos.

We felt so thirsty so decided to have a stop for some drinks. Went to a hut near the beach. Each of us bought a coconut. The coconut was so big and there were so much flesh and coconut water in it. After drinking one whole coconut water, my stomach was so full.

Our next stop, we went to a Buddha Temple. Behind the temple, it planted many dragon fruit plants and some even bear fruits! That was my first time seeing a dragon fruit plant. We had our prayers and took photos again.

Our 5th stop, '505 Soldiers'. It was still under construction and not officially open. So there were some places we were not allowed to enter. The place was located right up a hill. The slope up was so stiff. The air was so fresh. Few butterflies and even bees were flying around.

Half of the day gone, we went to Devid's restaurant again for late lunch/early dinner. Had Fish Head steamboat. Had a rest there before heading off a few more stops.

We went to the supermarket to buy some titbits and cup noodles again. Then, we head to the prostitution village. The journey there was so scary! There were no street lamp. The place was so ulu-ulu. On the way there, the driver even off the front car light for a few seconds to scare us. We screamed and shouted. The place was so dark and creepy.

Finally, we saw some lights and we arrived at the village. The driver drove one round. Every where were all prostitutes! We lock our doors. I was so afraid someone might open the door! Our car just stop for a while and there were even prostitute came to approach. Our heart were like pumping so fast. All of us were scared till our heart drops.

After that, we headed back to the city and went to a pub. Jane wanted to take a look at the pub in Indonesia. But we were too early, so we had a few bites of satay along the streets. I was already so exhausted and tired during that time. We went to the pub, they ordered a jug of beer and I fall asleep.

Went back to resort, had a quick bath and went to bed.

Day 3 - 18th November 2011

I was so tired that I couldn't get myself out of bed. Everybody was awake already but I was still sleeping. My whole body were so ache after playing the water games! We went for our breakfast and this time round, we were not late! But we were so rushing because we need to check-out and wanted to catch the 12noon (Singapore time 1pm) bus that brought us back to the city area.

Jane saw a souvenir booth that do craving on key chains and bracelets. It was cheap so we decided to buy a few of it. But Boon bought the most and we left we not much time. So we decided to miss the bus and wait for the next bus at 2.30pm (Singapore time 3.30pm).

While waiting, Jane and Boon went to play pool while Devid and I sat at the lobby and play games.

Finally, we reach Devid's restaurant and it was already evening. We had a meal there and that was our lunch. We did not had something after our breakfast till we arrived his restaurant. We decided to stay for a night at his house.

After a meal at his restaurant, we went for a 1 hour body massage and foot reflexology. It was only 75,000 Rp. I nearly fall asleep during the massage. After the massage, we went to a night street hawker. The place were so dirty and crowded. We had a close look on our belongings. We ordered about 10 items that includes satay, matarbak and oyster omelet and everything cost SGD 24! Everyone of us were so fulled but in the end, we still ate everything.

After eating, we went back to Devid's house and had a night in his karaoke room. His song in his karaoke room were up-to-date! Get to sing unlimited! haha. We played some games and went to bed at about 3am.

Day 4 - 19th November 2011

We woke up at about 9am. I couldn't sleep well. So decided to had a shower first. Packed our bags and had our last meal at KFC. We still have about 2 hours left before our ferry departs at 1.30pm (Singapore time 2.30pm). So we went for a walk at a nearby shopping malls. Played some games at the arcade. And finally, went back to the Ferry Terminal.

Arrived at Singapore about 4pm. 4 days just passed real fast! And tomorrow, I'm going back to work!

Hobby is Inherited

Hello! I was not working yesterday. Had a haircut. Even though there's still less than a month to my National Service, by then, my hair will be long again.

I made a trip down to my grandparents' house to visit my grandmother who fell down from the stairs few days back. She hurt her back but thank God, nothing happen after having X-Ray.

Before that, I went to buy some Adidas apparels. I bought 3 tops and 1 shorts. It took me so long to decide! haha. After that, head down to my grandparents' house. I had my dinner there. Waited for my mom to end work, then went back home.

Didn't know that my grandparents had the same hobby as me! Collecting old notes. =) I was so surprised to see. How I wish I can have it and keep it inside my money album! haha. But my grandfather said that after he passed away then I can have it. >.< The photos below were the notes that he kept!

A New Challenge

Hello!

I did not update my blog for more than a month! Everyday I was working and working only. Worked long hours, so did not even bother to on my notebook. Got back home, shower then off to bed. But today, decided to spent some time blogging.

Is November, and that's really fast. Is coming to the end of 2011. Day by day just passed. I'm soon gonna be a real adult in just a few more years.

Last Friday, on the 4th November 2011, went to 3D2N Cruise to Nowhere on Superstar Virgo together with my grandmother and sister. Has been there so many times already! Well, but this time, it's different! It was because, I could get into the Casino! haha. Finally, I'm 18. 3 days of holiday just passed real fast and Monday, I am back to work.

Last Thursday, on the 3rd November 2011, finally, I have received my enlistment letter. I was so excited about it. But sadly, I'm enlisting in 1 month time on the 9th of Dec. I thought that they would inform me about 2 months earlier before our enlistment. But who knows, it's just next month. It's a good thing too. There are many public holidays coming right up during my days in camp. So get to come out often! hehe.

The sad thing upon receiving my enlistment letter, it is, I have to leave Ya Kun already. Can't bear to leave that place. Really can't bear to leave. I have been working there as a part timer since I was 16. That was 2 years ago, 1 week right after my GCE 'N' levels exam. And now, is time I should leave. I will definitely miss working there, miss working with my colleagues, miss the jokes and the laughter, miss brewing coffee and to my regular customer who loves my coffee/tea, unable to brew for them again.

Even though I have about 3 weeks left before I leave, but I can feel the feelings of my last day being there. Can sense the sadness and unbearable feelings of my colleagues and me. But no matter what day is it, one day, I will still have to leave that place.

Kbox with ex-classmates!

Had a Kbox sessions with Margaret, Eliza, Michelle, Hui Hui and Belinda at E!hub. Had not seen them for so long ever since after secondary school I think. Other than Eliza.

We planned to meet at 1pm but they were late! Smart of me to book the Kbox at a later time. Haha! Had lunch at McDonalds then off for the 4hrs of Kbox session. Time flies so fast! Hope to have another session with them again! =)

Grandparent's Birthday

Firstly, Happy Birthday to my grandparents!

We had dinner at Rise Restaurant at Marina Bay Sands Hotel. It was an awesome buffet spread. Many varieties to choose from. From Indian cuisine, to Western cuisine, to Asian cuisine and, to Japanese cuisine. But there were only limited varieties of cold seafood (oysters, prawns, lobsters).

Had a nearly 4 hours dinner. None of the dishes that I liked. Still prefer Royal on Scotts and Marriotts.

It's September! It's gonna be a busy month for me! haha. It was a bad start for me this September. In a day and 3 things happened to me! Something that got to do with my work. And soon, my enlistment letter will arrive anytime, maybe?

I was so tired during the past few days due to lack of sleep. Nearly down with a fever. Last Monday, the day before Hari Raya, had dinner with my grandparent and my family at Chinatown. It was a sumptuous dinner we had.

I was learning to cook yam paste aka "orh nih" for the past few days and I made it! Quite a lot of effort to do. One of my favourite desserts. I used to make this when I was in primary school. After so many attempts, I did not make it. Till today, then I had actually learned the real recipe of doing it! haha.

Ending my post here. =) Wishing all my Muslim friends, Selamat Hari Raya! =D

Hello! Have not update my blog for quite sometimes. I was busy working and rushing to earn more money! I am still waiting for my national service enlistment letter. I wonder when will it be. Hope I will enlist by end of this year.

Does anyone knows how to make milk pudding? Or rather Hokkaido milk pudding? I tried many attempts but always not successful. I could not get the right consistency of the texture. Tried using agar agar powder and gelatin but, the best result is still gelatin.

I am so regret that I did not go prawning with my sisters on 9th August morning. I was so sound asleep and I don't feel like going. At night, then I realised there's national day promotion! 4hr of prawning + 1 rod of your own at only $46! I have always wanted to get myself a rod and I missed this chance. I realised it was already 10pm. The moment I saw the advertisement, I thought of going to the nearest prawning outlet at punggol immediately. But unfortunately, there is only a limited stock for the rod and all the rods were sold out already.

I just got up from my bed. Having headache now! Ate maggi noodle for dinner. Accompanied nat study yesterday at airport overnight. Someone so hard working. haha. =) Hope she can do well for her exams. Too bad I can't help her on her studies cos I don't even know a single things about it. But, will always give her moral support. I believed, she can do it. =)

Hello! Last Tuesday, on the 19th July 2011, went out with my Ya Kun colleagues, Desmond, Aunty Lily and Helmi! "Special Outing with Special People", taken from Helmi's Facebook photo album. Didn't know I am one of the special people! haha. Only managed to upload my blog today because I was waiting for the photos in Helmi's camera. He took it one week to upload everything! Hais.

Well, we went high tea at Marriott Hotel. I was suppose to meet the both seniors at 3pm but I was late and arrived at 4pm! hah. So many varieties. The high tea even includes laksa, mee siam, chicken rice, nasi lemak and many more! It's more like a lunch/dinner buffet, rather than high tea. Looking at all the foods, the feeling is like I am back to my attachment! haha.

After high tea, went for a walk at ION Orchard. Then, we head off to Bugis and meet up with Helmi for dinner. Had our dinner at Swensens. I ordered Bolognaise Spaghetti for myself. After dinner, we wanted to catch a movie at Iluma but, there were not many shows available. So decided to go karaoke at Teo Heng!

We decided to take a cab there cos it was already 10pm but, all the cabs were hired. So Desmond call for a cab. Got in the cab and the taxi driver was so rude! We got no small change and he replied to us "You think you give $50, your change will grow to more than $50?" He was so rude! Desmond even call back the company to complain.

But, that definitely won't spoil the rest of our day! Still had fun singing at Teo Heng. Sang till 1am, and took cab home. Really had lots of fun going out with them. Thanks Desmond and Aunty Lily for the day! =)

Off today! After working for so long hours for the past two days, I am exhuasted. But, had a very nice and long sleep last night. Woke up at 1pm, was awake by Darren's call. Off to the gym to meet him. Hmm, next week I am gonna change my gym location to Pasir Ris Sports Complex! It will be open on the 18th July which is next Monday.

Had a one and a half hour of gym session. It was still drizzling after gym, so decided to have a few bites in McDonalds. Bought the chocolate melts for $2.80. Buy 1 get 1 free! haha.

After eating, off to Bugis for steamboat. Eating steamboat during rainy days with the cold wind blowing feels so great! We ate for nearly 3hours! The tables around us already had a turnover of 2-3 times and we were still eating. haha.

Hey people! Two days ago, went back to school to submit my logbook. Finally, I step into the school in the year of 2011! haha. And now, I have graduate! Back to Ya Kun to work while waiting for my enlistment letter.

After school, went down to Ang Mo Kio to meet Boon. Bought koi for Boon and that was my first time buying koi. I bought a large cup of Ice Milk Tea. My number was called and I got my drink. Took the drink but didn't realized that there was two cups in it. haha. Buy 1 get 1 free. lol.

After meeting him, we headed down to Bugis for lunch. Decided to have steamboat but we changed our mind and had Soul Garden instead. It was a sumptuous 2 hours meal we had. After that, took a walk in Bugis Junction and headed back home. Suppose to meet Jane and the rest for prawning but canceled.

Last Thursday was my last day of attachment in The Ritz-Carlton hotel. Suddenly feels so sad to leave the place. Thought it was just six months there but I had really experience a lot. Really want to thanks everyone of them who had guide me thru these six months. If there's a chance, I would definitely choose to come back to Ritz-Carlton and work.

Hello! Today's plan was to go Johor Bahru with my mother and grandfather. We arrived at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station at about 12noon. Wanted to buy the ticket for 1pm to City Square but sold out. And the next train to City Square was 6pm!

We decided not to go and headed to the canteen for lunch. Queue was long! But the food was cheap. $2.50 per bowl. Each of us had Mee Rebus and a bowl of Lontong to share. The Lontong was so filling! Below are the pictures taken at the railway station.

After lunch, went to visit my cousins at Bukit Purmei. And there goes, one day gone!

Just few days till my attachment ends! And here come, my holidays! =D Gonna train and prepare myself for National Service soon. I am still waiting for the enlistment letter.

Two days ago, bought 2 shoes for Adidas. I've long wanted to have some Adidas products. Now that I've earn my own money, I can own them! hehe.

Just 1 more month to go! Tomorrow is June already! Tomorrow, I will be in Room Service department. Yet another new place, new experience and new things to learn.

Being in Garde Manger Kitchen, frankly speaking, I have learn a lots of things. Almost every single day, I learn something new. Though today was my last day in Garde Manger, I even learn how to trim fruits. It did not let me left the place empty handed.

It's time I should reward myself after working for so hard the past few months. Last year, I only rewarded myself with a notebook. But this year, I gonna buy the things that I have long wanted to get! Today, actually burnt a hole in my wallet! Bought a few apparel from Adidas but it is worth it. =)

Hey people, I'm just left with 1 more month and 2 days to go! Isn't that fast? haha! Well, time flies =) Finally, I can have a good 2 days of rest! Ya Kun is under renovation for this week. Don't intend to go anywhere. Staying at home with today's weather is so much comfortable. And also, none of my friends are free too! All busy with their school and work. Sad.

Going swimming tomorrow morning but hopefully, it don't rains. Great Singapore Sales is coming or rather, it has even started. Every where are all on sales. Going to shop for new clothing which I only do, during this season. =)

It's May! And soon, I'm graduating in 2 months time! =D Time passes quite fast but, this month would be a slow month. Currently, I'm in Garde Manger kitchen. Doing more on banquet function.

The past 2 months in Greenhouse kitchen, was a great and fun experiences with many helpful colleagues. Below were 2 pictures who have guided me thru my 2 months there!

Hello! I'm back to posting.

Many things happened for the past few weeks. I've uploaded some pictures to share. I love my working schedule for this week and next week. haha. It's April already! 2 months 3 weeks to go and I am free. I bought an Iphone 4 two weeks ago. Finally, I got my new phone ever since last year I decided to change. Goodbye to my memorable phone of 5 years. =D

I went for my national service medical check-up last Friday on the 1st of April. Spent about 3hours there. Not crowded at all. I have been graded to PES B due to my G6PD Deficiency. I was hoping to get PES A but unfortunately, those with G6PD Deficiency can only be graded PES B. After my internship, going to train for my NAPFA test. Don't wanna waste another 2 months there.

Hello. =)

I was very busy with my internship. Just another 4 more months to go. Currently working in Greenhouse kitchen. The past 2 months in banquet kitchen was a great experience, Today was only my second day in Greenhouse and I already learned a lot of things. I realised that I am more into working in buffet/restaurant kitchen than banquet kitchen.

This week, my working schedule was a bit relax. Hope every week is the same. haha. My guppies gave birth last Sunday! About 20+ fry. Hope that it will grow healthy. Anyway, got a new baby cousin 2 days ago and it's a baby girl! Next year Chinese New Year will have one more people joining us.National Service will be coming soon. Another new life to explore again. =)

Everyday just work and work. Not busy for the past few weeks, quite slack. But tomorrow onwards gonna be busy. Just 2 more weeks and, I am going to a new kitchen where I have to start from the scratch again.

Has been working for a week already. And, tomorrow and the day after is my off day again. That's fast. Work was tired but fun. Did not regret going into this industry. Learned a lot of things. Working with "crazy" people makes your day brighten.

Tomorrow will be my first day of work. The feeling that I had now is like when my first day in primary/secondary school. I just can't wait to quickly get to work. Tomorrow will be starting work at 10am but not sure what time it ends.

Is the year of 2011 already! And, just 2 more years I am no longer a teenager again. How I wish we could stop the time right now. Today was my first day of my internship. Had orientation for the first whole day, off for the next 2 days and start work on Thursday.

Can't wait to start work as soon as possible. Soon, after 6 months, we will graduate. Is time to save money! That's one thing why I love to work as we don't spent much when we are working. The first two months will be attached to the Main Kitchen.

Hope to learn something new everyday and all the best to my classmates who are doing their internship too! =D

Working for the past 4 days. Thank God Christmas was not busy unlike last year! Tomorrow onwards, is time for me to enjoy but only for a week. Going to JB with friends again on this coming Tuesday. =D

Having exams for the past few days. 2 more papers to go. Today's paper was so much difficult. Won't be able to pass this paper but, hopefully my overall can pass. Signed my contract with Ritz Carlton 2 days ago. Starts work on the 3rd of January next year. 6 more months of internship to graduate!

JB with Shatec mates

Hey! Went to Johore Bahru with Boon, Darren, Jun Yang, Jane and Donny yesterday. Met Boon at Khatib MRT then went to meet Jane and Donny at Kranji in the morning at 10:30am. Boon did not ate anything in the morning so went to eat ananas cafe at Kranji control station.

Took bus to custom. Met Yang at Malaysia's custom. Our plan to JB was to go for karaoke. But when we arrived there, all entertainment shops were closed due to a public holiday over there. Nowhere to go, went over to Nando's to have our lunch. RM34 per person. Ate the extra hot chicken.

After our lunch, went shopping. Boon and Jane bought DVDs. Darren came later on. It was still early then. Don't know where to go, then we decided to visit Johore's Zoo. Darren drove us there. Paid RM2 for the ticket per person. First time been to Malaysia's Zoo. Under a very hot sun, but it was fun. Our trip was worth it.

Got to see so many different types/species of animals. Jane and Boon bought a packet of peanuts to feed the animals. One thing that made us unbelievable was that, the orang utan over there smoke a cigarette!

Donny was smoking, the orang utan took a cigarette butt and put into it's mouth with another hand stretching out, asking Donny to give a cigarette. Donny gave the lighted cigarette and surprisingly, the orang utan picked it up and smoke! Everyone over there was so shocked and surprised.

After walking around the zoo, all of us went for a cup of sugarcane drink. Rest a while then headed to "San Low Restaurant" for dinner. Ordered 4 dishes, a bowl of soup and 2 plates of their signature bee hoon. Each of us paid RM15 only. So cheap and is worth it.

It was 8pm then. Darren drove us back and dropped off Boon, Jane and Donny at City Square. Yang, Darren and I then went over to Kulai. About 20 - 25 mins of driving, then we arrived at Kulai. 3 of us went to have desserts at "Sweet Dynasty" where Yang used to work there. After eating, went to Yang's house where I stayed overnight.

Woke up at 7:30am today. Darren's mother came to pick yang and me up then went to eat beef noodle for breakfast. The beef noodle can't find it in Singapore and it was very delicious. Ate 2 plates of it. After eating, followed Yang and Darren. Took bus from Kulai to City Square. About 45mins of journey.

First time taking public transport at Malaysia and it can say that it was fun. Get to experience how my Malaysian's friends always go to school from Kulai. At about 9:45am, reached City Square and from there, took bus back to Kranji then off to school. Reached Bukit Batok was about 10:45am.

Had a Network Business Etiquette at 12noon. Ends at 12:30pm. Then went over to McDonalds for lunch with Darren, Yang, Lynette, Jane, Donny and Shan Hua. Went home straight. Now feeling so sleepy. Wanna take a nap.

The Last Practical in Shatec..

Hello. Last Thursday was our last practical in school. 1 year of studying in Shatec have soon come to an end. In a month time, we will be going for our attachment.

The last day of pastry lesson, we baked marble cake. And now then I realised that marble cake is so easy to make. haha. Lynette took so many pictures. Shared some of the pictures below. =)

Just got back from work. Yesterday worked for 15hrs!! Cos not enough manpower and I can't leave.. But luckily, slept for 12hrs on Friday.

No school tomorrow. Can sleep for long hours again. Tomorrow will be a relaxing day~

Hello. Did not update my blog for the past 5 days again. Just a quick recall for the past 5 days.

25th Nov 2010, Thursday
Went to JB with Darren, Jane and Donny. Arrived at City Square at 1pm. Went to Neway for karaoke till 5:30pm. The room over there was so big! Like a living room that can sit about 20pax. There's even a toilet inside too.

After singing, went to had dinner at a cafe. Was raining so did not went out to eat. After eating, was about to 7pm. Thought of coming back but then, custom will jam during that hour. So went to New Town White Coffee for coffee till 8pm.

26th Nov 2010, Friday
Had pastry lesson today. We did scones and muffins. End school at 2:30pm then headed to Ritz Carlton Hotel by taxi for interview. Had 2 interviews, one with the HR and the other one was with a senior sous chef. Passed the interview but need go down for 2nd interview.

27th & 28th Nov 2010, Saturday and Sunday
Was working whole day during the weekends. After work, went home for dinner. Mummy cooks during the weekends. Did not ate home cooked food for sooooo long already. Last time always complain that home cooked food is boring but after a long time of not having it, you'll find it nice and delicious!

29th Nov 2010, Monday
Had mocked interview today for school's assessment and IT practical test. Quite easy anyway. Headed down to Ritz Carlton again for 2nd interview. I just have a feeling that I won't get selected.

30th Nov 2010, Tuesday
Went to school at 9am today. Someone said that beverage lesson starts at 11am but end up 12noon. If not can sleep 1 more hours. After beverage, went hilltop for lunch. Then went back to school for IT revision tips. After that, went home straight. Just feeling so sleepy.

Hello! Did not update my blog again. heh.

Past few days ago, learnt how to make cream puff, eclair, peach strudel and bun. Not chicken bun or whatever, it is something like kaya bun.

Last Sunday, went to celebrate mummy's birthday. Ate steamboat!! I just love eating steamboat. haha.

Last Monday, need to wear formal. Weather is so hot nowadays. Had conversation assessment. This week is already week 8. 2 more weeks to go for exam! After school, went to meet Dina, Ain and Farhnah at Downtown East.

Yesterday, did not went to school. But went to the gym the whole afternoon. haha. Met Dina, Ain and Farhanah again at Elias. Ate ice-cream.

And today, need to wear formal again. Had role play. And I was the narrator. hah. Our script was short but funny. In the afternoon, had a telephone assessment. Like so lame. Don't know why must we take this subject. Just answer the call, greet the person, tell them who you are, where are you from, etc.

After school, got home straight. The weather is so hot!! But thank goodness, it rains =)

Woke up at 11am. Went to Giant hypermarket to buy ingredients. Going to cook the fish that I caught last Sunday. Many of the ingredients was not available in Giant. So decided to cook something else.

Cooked Spaghetti Alfredo with Pan-fried Fish and Cream of Mushroom soup. It was so filling. All cream today. haha. Cooked for about 3hrs.

Changed the design of my blog (if you notice). Now, it can be view in all kinds of browsers.

Tuesday, 16th Nov 2010

Had Beverages test today. And it was quite easy. haha. About 2hr 30mins break in between before the test. Went to canteen with Darren, Lynette and Jane. Ate already then had a chat. Went back to school to have a last revision.

After the test, went home! Went to Bugis with Junwei, Lynette, Jane and Joseph. But then, junwei and joseph went arcade. Jane, Lynette and I went to TopOne for karaoke!

Sang till 5pm then went to Lavender MRT to meet up with Helmi. Exactly 5:30pm, Desmond arrived and he brought us to Quality Hotel, a 4 star hotel, to have dinner. We had vegetarian steamboat buffet. The buffet starts at 6pm and we left at about 9:15pm.

Went to Tampines Mall's Starbucks at 10:05pm. Chat till 11:15pm then took bus 39 home together. Reached home at 12:10am. My first time having a vegetarian steamboat. And it was sumptuous! Thanks Desmond for the wonderful dinner!

Monday, 15th Nov 2010

Late for school but our mentor was also late. Darren waited for me at Bukit Batok. He reached early and I was like still at Tiong Bahru. Comm Skills and Supervision. I was like not concentrating. haha. Don't have the mood to study.

Next was Application of Host Communication. Watch movie and I fall asleep. =.= After that, went to have lunch at canteen. Back to school for IT lesson. No internet access! Was so boring. Finish doing 3 exercises and then went home.

But did not went home straight after school. Went to airport with Darren, Lynette, Jane and Donny to study for our Beverages test. Reached there at about 7pm. Ate at kopitiam then went to Ya Kun to study. Study and study till 10:30pm. Time went so fast when you are studying!

Reached home at 11:30pm.

Sunday, 14th Nov 2010

I woke up early in the morning at 5.30am. No work today but going fishing with Ted's family on their yacht. His parents' came to pick me up at about 6.40am. Then, off straight to Marina Country Club, at Punggol, where they park their yacht.

First time going on yacht fishing and it was a great experience. We went to Changi shore for about an hour and caught a few fishes. After that, went to Johor shore. I did not fish over as our rods were not strong enough. The current over there was very strong and need to use heavy weights.

It was sunny hot at Johor shore. Went to cabin and fall asleep. We was at Johor shore for about 2hrs and did not caught anything. When we were about the set off back to Changi shore, I vomitted! Lucky did not mess their yacht. haha. I ate before I went to sleep and did not digest properly. My whole shirt and bermudas was stain with my vomit. Took off my shirt and luckily, I wore a shorts inside. So just wore Ted's jacket for the rest of the day.

At about 4:45pm, we went back to Marina Country Club as the fishing competitions ends at 5:30pm. Uncle Antony caught a 3.4kg don't know what fish (pictured below). And in the end, he won the 1st and 3rd prizes under the no scale category!

Had seafood buffet dinner. The food is pathetic. Went back home at about 7pm+. Took back many fishes home. Caught 1 quite big fish. haha. Beginner luck =P

Thursday, 11 Nov 2010
I did not went to school today. Had a good, nice and long sleep till noon, then I woke up. Went to find JM then went to Elias Mall to have lunch at McDonalds.

Bought the quarter pounder meal and was given 3 game labels. Kept inside my wallet but then took it out again and forgot to keep. Left the game labels over there. One of them can redeem a cheeseburger. Wasted.

Was working yesterday and today. Work 12 hrs but it was fun. =) Working with fun people is always the best. Tomorrow going fishing with Ted. Going offshore by his father's yatch to don't know which part of Malaysia. If possible, will upload photos tomorrow. =)

Yesterday, after school went to sengkang. Met Ted for dinner at Pasir Ris Town Park. Janelle came after our dinner. Went to drink at pond star. Left at 12am cos I have school the next morning.

Today, accompany Bernard home. See I so nice. =) hahs no lah, actually going to gym at hougang. After gym, went home. Took a nap in the afternoon. Just finish helping Darren's designing his blog. haha.

Tomorrow onwards will be a hell for me. =( My classmates will be enjoying 5-days long weekend but I have 3 days of war. I can do it!

Yesterday, finally opt for our hotel that we want to go for our internship. I long wanted to go to Swissotel The Stamford but unfortunately, they don't have any vacancy. Sad. Chosen Ritz Calton. Hopefully can get in.

Yesterday night, went to find Mr.Boon. haha! Went all the way to his work place. Ate steamboat together. Worst steamboat that I have ever had. Stupid boon that brought me there. Waste my money. >.< hais.

Well, today, there's class. Went out to Sengkang. Have not been there for so long. Next week is progress test. Study study!

First Day of Genting, 29th Oct 2010

Woke up early in the morning at 5am. Left house at 5:45am and took cab to Lavender MRT. Meet up with Harold, Bernard, Wilson, Darren and Donny. Got up the coach at 6:45am then off the Genting.

We arrived Genting at 1:45pm. Check-in to Theme Park Hotel, left our luggage and off for our lunch. Had our lunch at First World Plaza, "Hmm Yum Yum Bak Kut Teh". Was not filling enough. Decided to have a 2nd bowl of rice but each bowl of rice cost RM2.00! So head off to McDonald to have another 2nd round of lunch.

Ate 2 pcs chicken meal and comes along with cheese shaker fries. Had not ate McDonald's chicken for so long. Reminds me of my childhood when my grandmother always brought me to eat.

Finish eating, went for a walk at First World Plaza. Nothing much to see. Went to play pool, then arcade and then bowling. After that, went to Mushroom Farm (few metres away from Genting) by van to have our dinner. Spent about Rm150 in total on our dinner.

After our dinner, we walked up back to Genting. The weather was so cold. When climbing up the hill, Donny was like no energy to walk up. haha. Walk half way, rest a while then walk again. He was sweating so much after we walked up. haha

Went back to hotel room to rest a while. At 9:30pm, we went out for a walk again. Bernard, Harold and Darren went to Casino. Wilson, Donny and I went to First World Plaza for karaoke. Sang for 1 hour, went to find Harold they all. The 3 of us was like walking back and fro for so many times finally get to find them.

Wilson and Darren went back to hotel room. Then the 4 of us, went to have supper at Burger Kings. Went back to hotel after our supper and slept at 3am.

Second Day of Genting, 30th Oct 2010

Woke up at about 5:45am. Went out at 6:30am to have a stroll and took photograph. Walked almost the whole round of Genting then got back to hotel at 8am. Everyone was still sleeping. Bernard got up first. Then wake everyone up.

Had our breakfast at Marrybrown. I ate chicken rice. Don't suit my appetite. Went off to the Outdoor Theme Park after that. Tried almost all the games. Took photos with iguana and snake. haha! First time touching iguana. Its breathing was so strong!

Off the Hmm Yum Yum Bak Kut Teh to have our lunch again. Harold, Bernard, Wilson and Donny went off first. After lunch, Darren and I went to find Harold they all. Went to have 2 games of bowling again. Then off to arcade again.

Darren and I went off to look for things. Darren said he was tired and wanted to go back to hotel and rest. Walk past the theme park, we decided to go in and play again. Playing those rides at night was so cold! Was shivering during all the rides. Didn't know that Bernard, Harold, Wilson and Donny was in the theme park too!

Darren and I went to Dinosaur Land to take photos. Took so many photos that we didn't realised the time until the sky turn dark. Decided to have a few more rides before returning to hotel. Couldn't contact Harold they all and we didn't realised that they were at the theme park too. So Darren and I decided to have dinner ourselves.

Walked to Genting Highlands. We got 3 tokens. Wanted to play the arcade but Harold called so went back to Hotel again to meet them. Had dinner together at KFC. After dinner, Darren and Bernard went to Casino again. Donny and Harold don't know where they go. Left Wilson and me only.

Wilson and I went out to take in cool air. But it was too cold. Wilson was shivering. Then went back to the lobby. Both of us was tired, so did not went any where. Waited for Daren and Bernard outside the casino. They told us 1hour they will come out but waited and waited they still not out, we decided to have a walk if not we fall asleep!

It was 12am and we walked back to the casino. We doubt Bernard and Darren will be at the pub as they wanted to watch soccer. Went to the pub and both of them were there. Took the hotel key from them. Sat with them a while then me and wilson headed back to hotel.

Went back at 1:30am. Had a hot bath then went to bed.

Last Day at Genting, 31st Oct 2010

Was shivering during my sleep. Woke up at 7:30am to have a hot bath. After bathing, went back to sleep again. All of us woke up at about 11am. Called the operator to check for check-out time. And our check-out time was 12noon. All of us had a quick bath. Harold and I went to First World Plaza to get some gifts and tibits.

Left about Rm150, so decided to spent all my money. Both of us went back to hotel to get our luggage then check-out. Left our luggage at bell service then went off for our breakfast at Old Town White Coffee.

Had Prawn Noodles. We had about 1hr 30mins left. Went for a last walk at First World Plaza. Then off to bus terminal. Our coach left at 3pm. The coach was like so empty. Only about 10 people inside? Reached lavender MRT at 10:30pm. Took cab home.

Had sooo much fun at Genting. Hope to go there again! haha

This week would be busy. Off to Genting this coming Friday's morning. So fast.

Today school was quite slack. Ms Ezan was not here so our other host mentor took over other subject. Had 2 hours break till 12noon but then, realised that lesson was cancelled again. So waited again for our next lesson which is at 1.30pm.

3 hours of IT lesson. So boring. Played minesweeper for the whole lesson. haha. After that, went home striaght. Tomorrow school starts at 12noon. Finally can have a long sleep. I was about to sleep this now but then awake by my neighbour. haha.

Suddenly so hyper, couldn't get back to bed. Just finish eating a bowl of rice. Going back to sleep again. Damn it. My house's desktop spoilt. -.-

I smell stalkers .... haha!

Alright, today was suppose to meet Joseph at 7am, Pasir Ris MRT, for breakfast. But end up he late. hais. Gave a very good excuse "Jus now mrt no petrol need go refill". So I went to school myself.

Reached Jurong East was already 8:05am but waited for Joseph to arrive. He arrived at 8:15am and our lesson starts at 9am but he insisted on going to have breakfast. So, had a quick McDonald breakfast with him and off to school with Bernard also.

Today, had Japanese cooking. We did salmon, chawan mushi and the burdock. Took some photos but is still with Darren. School ends at around 3pm. Then went home straight. =)

I am still waiting ... 2 to 3 more weeks to go .. haha!

Hello!

Work during the last weekend. Damn it. Soooo busy and somemore we lack of manpower. Just feel like giving up half way but we can't do that. The crowd is non-stop coming in ever since I started work in the morning 7am till 9pm on Saturday.

On Sunday, what a terrible morning. Early in the morning got complaint from customer. That customer really got no brains and still can argued with my manager. A TV actor, Adrain Pang, came to our place to eat. haha. When he was queueing right behind, my supervisor was like 'that is a tv actor right?' haha.

These past 3 days, whole day theories. So bored. Today had presentation and my feeling was like not interested in it. Don't even feel like presenting. Yesterday morning, woke up with a terrible running nose. Going to fall sick soon but hopefully no fever. Trying my best to eat medicine to control my sickness.

Going to Genting with friends next Friday. But, no excitment at all. lol.

Hello!
My blog was dead for a week again. haha. Too busy to post.

Today was my first day of Term 4. Back with all those theories again. Most of the subject were more on communications. And we, taking culinary skills, also need to learn IT! haha. It was about the same as what I learnt in my secondary school days of Computer Application.

Today school starts at 8:30am. Only the first day so all the lesson was only introduction. Quite boring and sleepy. Ended at 4.00pm and went off straight home.

Currently busy with my upcoming blogshop. haha =D

I had comprehensive exam today. It was black box. It was so unlucky to get a spring chicken rather than a sea bass that I wanted for. Many of us did not do well for this exam.

I cooked spaghetti for my starch and some turned vegetables. I pan-seared my chicken and finishing cooking in the oven. My sauce was not successful as it turns out to be bitter. But anyway, I tired my best already.

Today was my last day staying in Charcoal. I will definitely miss working with my classmates in the kitchen. Thanks Chef Soon and Chef Thong for being with us. Time goes so fast that our term 3 have come to an end. Should buck up and get ready for theories again after working for 3 months.

After Charcoal, went karaoke with Jun Yang at Marina Square. After so many weeks of brain-storming, finally can de-stress and relax. Sang for about 2hr 30mins for just $8. Thanks Jun Yang for accompany me. ^^

Today, was my first day at swissotel. I will be working in swissotel for these 5 days for F1. Suprisingly, saw yiyin over there. She is working at swissotel too. haha.

After few hours of briefing and training, we went to our selected kitchen. I was in the pastry kitchen. I took culinary course but they put me in pastry. It is also a good thing as I can get to see how pastry kitchen is and gain some experience.

Ended work at 6pm. Went to meet Elfy after that. Thanks Ain and Elfy for the gift. =)

It was my grandfather's birthday today! Happy Birthday!

Finally, I get to sleep for 12hours again. Today, starts work at 1pm till 9pm. Spent 3hours plus just to cut 10 trays of cakes. haha. At mee siam in our tuck shop for dinner. Our dinner break was suppose to be 30mins only but ended up, me and a republic poly student went for almost an hour! haha.

Start work at 10am. Today, learned many things in the kitchen. Time seems to go very fast when working. The whole day, went up and down of the hotels. Get to see and experience many new things. Was doing a set up in a hotel room and from the view of the hotel, can get to see a very nice view of the F1 track.

Hey Hey ..
Did not update my blog for quite sometimes. Was really busy...

On Monday, I accidentally dropped my handphone into the MRT tunnel at City Hall when I was on the way to school right after Charcoal. What an unlucky day. But manged to get back my phone the next morning.

Yesterday, after Charcoal, went back to school again to practice for my French Cuisine competition. Stayed in school till 10pm. Have to decide on my final presentation as next week is the submission dateline. Got back home was almost 12am. But it was a good experience even though it was very tiring.

Today, Charcoal as usual in the morning. After Charcoal, went window shopping at Marina Square with Joseph and Donny. Waste my time going there. hais.

Next week is going to be a disaster week. The whole week was packed with schedules. Have to wait till the following Tuesday then can get to rest. Will try to update more often. ^^

Yesterday, went Sentosa with my Shatec friends. So fun. haha. We played volleyball, basketball, soccer and frisbee. Since morning, we met at 10am at Vivicity, but I was late. haha. Went to Giant to buy tibits, drinks, bread, snacks, etc. Then off to Sentosa Siloso Beach.

10 of us, Bernard, Boon, Wilson, Devid, Kartono, Donny, Jane, Alex, Darren and Me, played volleyball under the rain. We split our team into production vs charcoal. haha. After a while felt boring cos we does not know how to play. Then off to other games.

We enjoyed ourselves till about 6pm. Then went to catch the movie 'Step Up 3D'. After that, was about 9.15pm, went to had our dinner at habourfront centre KFC. Went home with Bernard. At Hougang, took cab home cos I am so exhuasted.

Hope there will be another trip again! It was so fun. 4 more days to go and I am back to charcoal. wo0ts.

Today I am off from school. This week, I only got to school twice! haha. Cos Saturday I went back to school and during National Day, I work for the Marina Mandrain Hotel. So I was given 2 days off. hehe.

Thought of going for a swim today but woke up late. Helping my sister to make egg tarts for her 4th anniversary with her boyfriend. 1st try and we succeed!

My resting day is going to come to an end. Hais. Don't know when will I get to rest again. Tomorrow onwards, back to my daily routine. Work school work school.

First of all, Happy National Day !

Did not get to rest for my public holiday. But, there was lots of fun and I really enjoyed myself. This was my first time experience the real buffet catering in public. And this buffet is not cater to normal people but to the ministers!

Arrived at Marina Mandrain Hotel at 11:45am. Get our chef uniform, chef hat and apron. Then set off to the Old Supreme Court (The building which is right in front of the Padang which has the word "Majulah Singapura" on top of it) at 12:30pm. The security over there was so tight. All our foods, ingredients, warmers, cambros, have to be check one by one.

Finally after about an hour, went through so many stages of scanning, then managed to get in. I was in the City Hall Chamber and my station was to do live station popiah. haha. When we looked out of the window, we can to see a beautiful view of the NDP.

The buffet started at 8:15pm right after the fireworks. Our Prime Minister was the first to come into the Chamber. Followed by our Senior Minister and the rest of the ministers.

The buffet ends at about 9:45pm. Clear up and walked back to the hotel. Was so weird walking in public with our chef uniforms and even walk thru the MRT station! Reached home was already 12:30am. Thought it was tired, but there was so much fun! =)

Today was my 3rd day in school's production kitchen. Very very tiring. Not enough of sleep. Wasted almost 4hrs per day just on transport. Everyday have to leave house by 6am and always got home almost 8pm.

Thought it is tiring, but it is still fun. I am under training restaurant. Training restaurant have to prepare meals for our 2 training restaurant and sometime function. Much more better than host meal and deli because they always do the same thing like learn nothing.

Everyday stay in school for about 10hours. And only 1 meal which is our lunch at 12noon. Can't even eat full and the food also not nice which is cooked by those under host meal. Cannot blame them because the quality of the food not that good and some of the ingredients they can't use.

Unlike Charcoal, can get to eat terriyaki chicken, fish and chips, tom yum soup, ayam merah for staff meal. And still can go for 2nd round. Hais. Miss working in Charcoal. Have to suffer for 5 weeks in school's production. =(

Woke up early in the morning as usual. But today, my body seems to be so weak and tired. Vomited a few times and my diarrhoea have been coming non-stop. Went back to sleep and don't have the energy to get out from bed. Till 5pm, then decided to go to the doctor.

Have not ate anything for the whole day. After seeing the doctor, went back to sleep again. Hopefully can recover soon.

Today, surprisingly, we get to dismiss early at 11am. We went for our break at Funan and received call from Joseph that we get to dismiss already as the afternoon shift people, 12 of them came to do make up. So our chef, dismiss us.

Afterwards Boon, Junyang, Darren, Joseph and I went to watch the movie 'Despicable Me' at Marina Square which started at 1:30pm. There's still about 1hr left before our show starts. So decided have a few rounds of bowling. After playing for 2 rounds, we were late for the movie for 20mins.

The movie ends at 3:15pm. Went home and cooked my own spaghetti aglio olio.

Hello. Nothing much to post. Everyday is the same routine.

Every Monday is always the most tiring day. Maybe because of working on Sunday. Just got up from bed. Don't know whether can sleep again later a not.

This week would be the last week in Charcoal. Next week, will be back to school's production for 4 weeks.

Don't know what happened to me these few days. Last Saturday, was finding my chef hat everywhere then realised that I am already wearing it. Today, I thought that I had lost my shoe bag, but it was actually in the locker. Didn't realised it because I changed the shoe bag today. haha. Used to the old shoe bag.

Is coming to the end of July soon. Half of the year is gone again. hah. Time really pass so fast.

This morning, went to Boon's father hawker staff to had lunch. Ate so many. haha. After that, went to Marina Mandrain Hotel for briefing of National Day and Istana. Were choosen to help out during the National Day, 9th Aug and the Istana, 10th Aug.

It would be a great 2 days experience. haha. Security will be very strict, can't bring our own equipments in. There will be many minsters during that lunch/dinner. haha. Looking forward to this event!

After the briefing, went back to charcoal at 4:30pm. The moment we reached there, was break time already. Just have a few bites then off to Funan till 5:50pm.

Just got back from Charcoal. Hope it will be sunny tomorrow morning .... ^^

Oops. Now then I realised that my last post was last Wednesday ago. haha.

This week, morning shift in Charcoal. Love working in the morning shift. Our lunch break was like 10:15am to 11:15am and it was still breakfast hour? haha. But then, we always went for second round of food at around 2pm+ when we was about to finish our work.

Next week schedule is out. I am the fryer. haha. Fry the spaghetti only. Quite busy during the past few days. Boon nearly quit Shatec. Thanks Chef Jason for talking him round. haha.

Tomorrow will be going back to school again to pay school fees right after my Charcoal. Can get to meet my another half of my classmates currently at school's production. haha.

Just got back from Charcoal.

Today was my 9th day in Charcoal and it is also the most busiest day. With 32 pax, the whole kitchen is upside down. Everyone's temper was getting hot and shouting here and there. This was our first time handling so many pax. Suddenly, 11 set meals and so on. Hope everything will go smoothly in the future with full co-operations.

Going to bed now. Watching World Cup later on. Germany and Spain. Germany will gets into finals! =)

Hello !

Yesterday, woke up and left quite early just to had lunch with Boon, Jun Yang, Lynette, Harold, Joseph and Shan Hua at CityLink Mall, at the same time, to celebrate Joseph birthday.

Had our lunch at NewYork NewYork. Altogether of us spent $200+ just on one meal. Hais. Pictures are with Lynette. She is the paparazzi. Have to wait for her to upload then will share some pictures with you guys.

A few more hours going to Charcoal already. These few days, have been sleeping very late and wake up late. Want to sleep early also cannot. Just cannot sleep!!

Finally is Sunday! And yeah, just got back from 14hours of work. Very tired.

Had been in Charcoal for 1 week already. hah. Very fast right? 4 more weeks in Charcoal and then back to school's production. Read Lynette's blog and it seems that they work very long hours. Hais. How I wish I can don't go to production. So far away from my house. Sure not enough sleep.

Love working in Charcoal. Is so fun. Next week, I am not preparing staff meal anymore. haha. Will be doing griller (grill chicken, salmon, fish & chips, etc). Had save so much money in Charcoal. Because, I only spent on transport. haha.

Hello!

Just got back from Charcoal. So tired. Tomorrow our seniors won't be with us anymore. Have to do everything by ourselves.

Yesterday, cooked BBQ Honey Chicken Wing, Sesame Oil Chicken and Chap Chye for staff meals. Today, cooked Ayam Merah and Long Beans Egg. Tomorrow food will not be appetizing. Already decide to go Funan eat tomorrow for dinner. haha.

Still have some souvenirs for my friends, that I bought at Fraser's Hill, have not pass to them. Hais .. my schedule is packed already.

4T1 reunion this Saturday. But unfortunately, I can't make it. Need to go back Charcoal on Saturdays too. If not 2 days of make-up lessons!

Wonder how are my classmates in school's production doing. Heard is very tiring and is very long hours then Charcoal. 5 more weeks, will be our turn in production. Hopefully, they are doing good over there.

Hey! Just got back home. Today first day in Charcoal. haha.

Well, meet Boon, Jun Yang and Joseph at City Hall control station. Walked to Charcoal together. It was my first time being there. Our shift starts at 3pm. 8hr work.

After some briefing, we were assigned to our duties. Boon was the sous chef! haha. A sous chef forgotten to bring his safety boots. hah! My duties was to prepare staff meals only! We can choose what we want to cook. The recipe is our own choice. haha.

Quite boring today. Was very slack and was like waiting for the time to pass. Last order was 9:30pm. After that, went home!

My schedule is packed again. Will be very busy. Have to suffer for these 3 months!

Hey Hello! Did not update my blog for more than a week? haha.

Just got back from Fraser's Hill which is at Malaysia, Pahang about 4 days ago. Went there for 3 days since last Friday till Sunday. Did not get to post my blog as was busy with my exams during the past few days.

There were many negatives feedback from ourselves after the holiday. haha! But too bad can't share my feedback here. Is too dangerous to post it here. haha!

The journey was longer than going to Genting. The place is somehow quiet and only for those who loves nature and also a fan of bird, that place would be suitable for you. If you think of going shopping then, that is not the right place. haha.

Just got back from Orchard. Watch movie with friends. Before that, was in school doing live station for open house.

Finally it has come to the end of Term 2. Now preparing for exams which is coming in 1 week time. Next term will be going to Charcoal (Shatec's Restaurant). Will be staying there for a few weeks. Hais, some of us are seprated. Some will stay in school's production kitchen. How I wish can swop with people.

Hello !

Early in the morning, the sun was so bright. Decided to go for a swim at bukit batok swimming complex. Reached there but decided not to swim as the sky was getting darker and soon, it rains.

Had my lunch at McDonalds. Helped Wilson they all take away. 3 sets of meal, all upsized, but, the staff forgotten to give me the drinks and I just left without checking! So sorry wilson!

Today lesson lasted for about 2hrs only? Yep. After school, went to Yishun's Cold Storage to buy ingredients as I wanna cooked today at home. Spent me about $26 in total!.

Okay, and here's what I cook today at home. Just a simple poach fish. Made 4 portions for my family. haha. Spent about 2 hrs cooking but all eat so fast!

Tomorrow 3hrs of break. Feel like going some where ...

Busy with school and work. Work for a very long hours last weekend. Did not have much sleep for the past 4 days. Today, did not went to school. Managed to sleep for a very long hour. haha.

Yesterday had buffet in school. All of us had so much fun preparing the buffet. haha. This coming Friday is our practical exam. Need to prepare 2 portion of soup and 2 portion of main course. Soup have to make from our own creation. So what soup should I make?

1 more week to exams. After exam, it will be term 3 ! haha. So fast.

Whole day in school today. Since 8:30am to 7:00pm. Had IS early in the morning. Cooked Salmon for today. Everybody was suppose to just take 1 piece of salmon but then, mine is under portion, so my chef asked me to take another one.

But he didn't let me take extra for nothing. He wants me to do two-way cooking method! Well the rest just did pan fried for the salmon. So I tried out one baking it and another pan fried. The result turns out quite well. haha.

Today, back to chef Jason to give us demo lessons! And today the dish that he made for us, was the most confused and complicated dish compared to the past few demos he gave us.

I made a pan fried seabass for my IS training yesterday. Yesterday, after menu planning's progress test, went home to have a bathe and then went out to meet Bernard, Boon, Kartono and Shaun for prawning at Bishan at 7.30pm.

Prawn for 3hrs. Caught almost 50 prawns in total. Barbequed, and eat. Was about to went home then realised that the time was already 12:30am. We shared cab and took cab home. Reach home was already 1am +. Luckily, there was no school today. Can sleep longer . haha

Today did not cook the Seabass as the fish did not arrived yet. So we just took the ingredients and cook our own. But today, team up with 5 people. 3 of them cooked the risotto and my partner and I cook the spaghetti.

Hello !

Tomorrow is Kitchen Organisation progress test. Currently studying and I am only at unit 2. Don't feel like carry on studying because I don't even understand the subject. Will study in train tomorrow.

Practical exam is just next week. Tomorrow for our IS cooking, we have to think of our own recipe. Tomorrow's main ingredient is Seabass. What can I do with it? See what comes to my mind tomorrow then just make it. hais. Many things to do.

Should I participate in the Salmon competition? hmm .. Have upcoming progress test, practical exams and many projects. Might not have the time to concentrate on the competition.

Today was my unlucky day. I lost my chef's uniform which includes my chef jacket, apron and chef hat. I had placed it in the hawker center where we had our lunch and I forgotten to bring it back. Till the class ends, then I realised my uniform bag is not with me.

Anyway, went prawning at Pasir Ris Farmway 3. Bernard followed me home today. Bathed and changed then went prawning with Boon, Kartono and Bernard. After prawning, we bbq the prawn and went home at about 10pm. Had supper at West Plaza. Then went home.
